Lai Mohammed to sue PMAN for defamation over alleged property theft
Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed has threatened to sue PMAN for defamation and alleged theft of intellectual property - The association allegedly accused the Nigerian minister of plagiarism and intellectual theft
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Nigerian minister of information and culture, has reacted over the accusation leveled against him by the Performing Musician Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN). The association accused the minister of grand theft of intellectual property by saying the creative summit he hosted on financing the creative industry was a part of the proposal done by PMAN and submitted to him on August 5, 2016. The association accused the minister of implementing the proposal without carrying the members along or consulting them.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the counsel to PMAN, had spoken extensively on the matter saying the conference was a deviously planned as the ideas listed in the presentation belonged to his client.
